KSEB upset Indian Army

Chennai, Apr 27 (UNI) Kerala State Electricity Board(KSEB) men upset Indian Army by a narrow margin of four points, 80-76 in the league phase of the first All India invitation baskebtall tournament here today.

The KSEB attack was spearheaded by Maresh who scored 20 points while Eudrick Dereva scored 13. However, the Armymen put up a strong show with Rajesh P N emerging a the top scorer in the match with 30 points. Promod Kumar scored 26 points. But the KSEB defence managed to thwart the Armymen in the crucial last quarter.

In the women's section Southern Railway registered an easy 54-33 win over KSEB with Geethu Anna Jose(8) and P anitha(11) being the main shooters.For KSEB Lajitha (14) and Litty Mathew(8) were high scorers.

Central Railway women also had an easy time defeating South Central Railway 65-34 with M Beena top scoring with 21 points and S Indu scoring 15.
