Kerala XI beats India XI in veterans match

Kozhikode, Jan 25 (UNI) The Kerala XI beat India XI 2-0 in the veterans football match of internationals here today.

In the exhibition match organised by the Football Players Association of Kozhikode, Najimudheen and Xavier Pious scored for the winners in the 10th and 18th minutes, respectively.

Former Indian Captain and Arjuna Awardee Maghan Singh, ex internationals S S Narayan, Bernado Pereira, P R Bandhya and Bhupinder Rawat represented India XI.

Former veterans C C Jacob, M M Jacob, P Hammed, Jaffer, Mani Mambad Rahman Malappuram Azeez and Papppachan also joined the Kerala XI.
