Kerala to set up a women's athletic academy in Kollam district

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 16 (UNI) Kerala Sports Minister M Vijayakumar today informed the Assembly that the government was planning to set up a Women's Athletic Academy in the state.

The proposed academy would be established at Kottukkal, near Chadayamangalam, in Kollam district, he said in a written reply.

Mr Vijayakumar said the land acqusition for the academy was not completed and the government was taking steps to start the sports academy at the earliest.
