Kerala team for national armwrestling meet announced

Kozhikode, Jan 29 (UNI) A 16-member team, will represent defending champion Kerala in the 31st National Armwrestling Championship beginning at Kaithal in Haryana from February 1.

George S George would compete in the handicapped category on behalf of the state, a release from the Kerala Armwrestling Association said here today.

The other team members are -- Jibin P A, Sajeesh P V, A Rajan, T Roopesh, Jeeson Joseph, M Sudheesh Kumar, Shiby Varghese, M V Radhakrishnan, P Vijaya Ghosh, E Roshith, E V Saleesh, K V Vinod, T V Habeeb, Biju Lukose and Snibu S Ravi.

Champion and runner-up from the nationals would represent India in the Asian Armwrestling Championship to be held in Kyrgyzstan in the first week of May, the release added.
