Kerala, Orissa, CERA win 2 golds

Hyderabad, June 9 (UNI) Kerala, Orissa and CERA won two gold medals each in the 10th National Sub Junior Rowing Championships At the Hussain Sagar lake here today.

Kerala boy Arun Kumar came first in the boys single scull event.

He defeated his opponent Gurupreet Singh from Maharastra, with a time of one minute 46.21 seconds.

In the boys coxless pair, Kerala's S Saju and Prashant Nair defeated Chandrveer Singh and Sambhaji Saaapate from Maharastra to claim the gold.

In the girls single scull event, Meena Madhuri Toppo of Orissa defeated Thara Kurian of Kerala in a close finish.

Remaining finals would be held tommorrow.
