Karate champ from Nov 17

Udupi, Karnataka, Nov 12 (UNI) About 2,000 karatekas would be seen in action in the 10th Tenth National Kobudo Budokan Karate Championship to be held here on November 17 and 18.

Announcing this at a press conference here today, Championship Committee President Laxmivara Thirtha Swamiji of Udupi Shiroor Mutt said competitions would be held in 120 sections for various age groups.

Grand Champion competition would be held for the first place winners in Kate and Kumeute divisions for both men and women in Brown Belt and Black Belt.

The winners in the grand champion competition would be awarded with ''Krishnanugraha 2007'' title.
