Kannur retains South-west Zone title

Kannur, Nov 17 (UNI) Defending Champion Kannur retained the South-West Zone Inter-University Volleyball women's title with a comfortable win over SRM, Chennai.

In the finals the hostess team finished the proceedings rather easily spiking out SRM University with a score of 25-19, 25-17 and 25-14.

Except in the first set, the visitors could not pose any threat to their experienced rivals.

For the winners, P Remya made a brilliant job, blocking their rival's smashes, while Junior Indian Captain Soumya V with her telling smashes, jointly with Captain Minimol Abraham converted points.
