Jr National Athletics from Nov 12, 26 states in fray

Mysore, Oct 18 (UNI) Twenty six states will be vying for honours in the 24th National Junior Athletics Championships to be held here from November 12 to 16.

Addressing a press conference today Chairman of the Organising Committee G T Deve Gowda said events would be conducted in the age groups of under 20, 18, 16 and 14.

''Many international level athletes are expected to compete in the championships,'' he said.

In all, 156 events would be held and more then 2600 athletes and officials from all over the country will take part, he added.
