Jockeys fined

Bangalore, Aug 16 (UNI) Jockey Md Shafiq, the rider of Hold The Fort, was fined Rs 2,000 for not sufficiently persevering with his mount during the Leading Owner Cup-Div III 1200 M held here on August 8.

Jockey D Gnaneshwar, the rider of Damgood, was fined Rs 2,000 for not sufficiently persevering with his mount during the same race.

Jockey J H Christopher, the rider of Ciampino, was fined Rs 2,000 for coming 'in' and causing interference to Susanita(Ranjeet Singh) on his inside soon after jumping out of the starting gates in the race during Champion Jockey Cup-Div I 1400 M held on the same day.

Jockey Shobhan Babu, the rider of Footstepsinthesky was fined Rs 2,000 for repeatedly causing interference to Oro Neiro (S Selvaraj) on his inside between 300 and 200 metres during the same race.

Trainer M Eshwer was fined Rs 10,000 for accepting Turbo Babe without showing it in the Mock Race when he was specifically advised to do so after its last run in Race No 132 of the BSM 2007 held on July 7. Subsequently it was permitted to be withdrawn from the above race.

Jockey J E Pereira the rider of Plum Pudding was fined Rs 3,000 for excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race Lively Emprey Plate 2200 M held here on August 2.

Jockey Shobhan Babu, the rider of Gift A Diamond was fined Rs 2,000 for coming 'in' and causing interference to Major Asset (Mohd Ghous) on his inside which had to be checked by its rider thereby losing some ground approaching the 1300 metres in The Track Lightning Trophy Div II 1400 M held on August 2.

Jockey D Gnaneshwar, the rider of Andralyn, was fined Rs 2,000 for coming 'in' sharply and bumping Astounding Blue (B L Paswan) on his inside passing the 1300 Metres in the same race.

Jockey B L Paswan, the rider of Marianella reported his saddle shifted backward approaching the 400 metre and he could not offer sufficient assistance to his mount thereafter.After examining of the equipment after the race, trainer Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs 2,000 for faulty saddling of his charge Marianella in the Mystic Memory Trophy 1100 M held on August 2.

The stipendiary Stewards reported trainer V Lokanath to the stewards in connection with the reversal of form of his charge Born Beauty (J H Christopher) the winner of this race as compared to its previous run in Race No 191 of Bangalore Summer Meeting 2007 ie The Manitou Trophy Div I 1100 M for Maiden Indian Horses 3-year-old only when ridden by Jockey KPG Appu it ran unplaced.

The stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Lokanath.After deliberations, they decided to fine him Rs 10,000 for the reversal of form of his charge Born Beauty in the above race as compared to its run in Race 191 of BSM 2007 held on July 29.

Jockey Mark Zahra the rider of Rhapsidion Snow was fined Rs 3,000 for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the Patrons Cup 1400 M held here on August 2 Jockey Mark Zahra, the rider of Rhapsidion Snow, was fined Rs 2,000 for persistently using the whip on the right whereby he could not exercise sufficient control over his mount, allowing it to drift and taking out Badge Of Gold (B Prakash) on his outside in the last 300 metres of the race held on August 2.
