J'khand to host 44th National open athletics in October

Ranchi, Mar 31 (UNI) The four-day 44th National Open Athletics will be held here from October 22 to 25.

Jharkhand Athletics Association president Madhukant Pathak told UNI today that National Athletics Federation had given its nod to the four-day meet.

Pathak said the event would be organised in the mega sports stadium being constrtucted for the 34th National games slated to be held in November this year.

He said all the 43 sports items will be included in the event adding national level athletes, including Anju Boby George, Manjit Kaur and Sinimoule Paulos, will also participte in the championship.
