Jijo to lead TN squad in national sub-junior tourney

Chennai, Sep 12 (UNI) Striker V Jijo will lead Tamil nadu in the 30th Sub-Junior National Football Championship, to be held at Haldwani from September 16 to October 7, for the Mir Iqbal Hussain Trophy .

Tamil Nadu will play its first preliminary league match against Nagaland on September 17 and Uttar Pradesh on September 21, Tamil Nadu Football Association (TFA) Secetary T R Govindarajan said in a release here today.

The team: Goalkeepers: A M Imran Khan, V Nathiyan.

Defenders: P Rajkumar, T Pradeep Raj, A Ranjith, L Ragavendran, D Madhan, S Rajesh, K S Aravinthan.

Midfielders: S Pravin Raja, M Dhilipan, M Soosairaj, M Sivarajan, J Alexando Romario, D Ebin, S Anirud Kumar.

Forwards: V Jijo, S Murugan, Paratul Venglet, S Shajahan Ameenutheen.
