Jharkhand beats Tripura in Vijay Hazare match

Agartala, Feb 12 (PTI) Host Tripura today bundled outwith 150 runs in 42.1 overs when the visiting Jharkhand scored243 on the second day of the one-day Vijay Hazare Trophytournament at Polytechnic Ground here.



The host team was upset when its dependents, NishitShetty (09) and former captain, Timir Chanda(03) failed toshow any performance.



Team''s highest scorer Yogesh Takawale scored 41 facing46 balls.



Subrata Ghosh was the good performer who took threeimportant wickets giving only 21 runs from his 6 overs forJharkhand.



Earlier, though its opener, Akash Verma went back topavilion facing 3 balls in five minutes, visiting Jharkhand''sother batsmen like Saurav Tiwari(44), Subrata Ghosh(76) andIshant Jaggi(43) and Kumar Deobrat(47-not out) helpedJharkhand to win the victory.



On Tripura side, Rana Datta bagged two wickets whenTimir Chanda and Subal Chowdhury got one each.

Tripura - 150 all out in 42.1 overs.



Jharkhand won by 93 runs.
