Jenas snatches derby draw for Spurs against Arsenal

LONDON, Apr 21 (Reuters) Midfielder Jermaine Jenas fired a dramatic equaliser in the fifth minute of stoppage time to give Tottenham Hotspur a 2-2 draw with Arsenal in the north London derby today.

Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor appeared to have won it for Arsenal with a 78th-minute header, but Jenas rifled a superb equaliser into the bottom left hand corner to the delight of the White Hart Lane crowd.

Spurs, looking to end an eight-year run of 17 matches without a win over Arsenal, went in front on the half-hour mark when Ireland striker Robbie Keane nodded home.

But Arsenal's Ivorian defender Kolo Toure scored at the far post to level in the 64th minute and Adebayor looked to have won it after his header beat England keeper Paul Robinson.

The draw meant fourth-placed Arsenal have 63 points, one behind Liverpool, who were playing later against Wigan Athletic.

Leaders Manchester United face Middlesbrough in the day's late kickoff.
