Jeev's cut ensures extended dream; matches Woods at Masters
Augusta, Georgia, Apr 7 (UNI) Masters debutant Jeev Milkha Singh is set to have an extended shot at his favourite Masters as he not only made the cut but stands only five strokes off the leaders after carding a three-over-par 75 in the second round at Augusta National.
Although the ace golfer slipped from the tied 10th spot, he still lies at a comfortable 15th spot in the company of four-times winner Tiger Woods. Both aggregate three-over 147 after two rounds.
That Jeev is enjoying every moment of his childhood dream is pretty evident.
''It is a great feeling,'' Jeev told reporters after making the cut. ''I feel I handled myself well. I have the next two days to see what I can do.'' ''I'm enjoying every bit of it,'' the UBS Asian Order of Merit winner said, adding ''Birdying the last hole leaves a better taste in my mouth.'' The 35-year-old fired two birdies and three bogeys on the front nine, but fared worse in the back nine with three more bogeys against a lone birdie at the last.
South African Tim Clark and American Brett Wetterich share the top spot with two-under 142 while Fiji's Vijay Singh is tied at 4th with total tally of 144.
