Jeev Milkha Singh finishes tied 39th at Shell Houston Open

Humble, Texas, Apr 7 (UNI) Jeev Milkha Singh fired a final round 71 to climb from overnight tied 52nd to finish tied 39th at the Shell Houston Open here.

Jeev (73, 70, 72, 71) finished the tournament with an overall score of two under 286. His final round included four birdies and three bogeys.

The former Asia no 1 sank birdies on the fourth and eighth and dropped a bogey on the sixth to be one under at the turn.

On the back nine, he made consecutive birdies on the 12th and 13th besides dropping bogeys on the 11th and 14th.

American Johnson Wagner (63, 69, 69, 71) won the tournament as he finished with a total of sixteen under 272.

Jeev will now head to the Augusta National Golf Club to participate in the year's first major, the US Masters.
