Jeev climbs to 60th place in Golf rankings, Randhawa drops to 106

New Delhi, Sep 16 (UNI) India's highest ranked golfer Jeev Milkha Singh climbed four rungs to 60th place while an out of form Jyoti Randhawa continued to slip down the ladder and was at the 106th place in the latest World golf rankings.

A tied 11th place finish in the Mercedes-Benz Championship, helped Jeev to leap four places from his last week's ranking of 64 and creating an opportunity to break into the list of top 50 golfers of the world.

Meanwhile, Randhawa, who has been struggling with the form and health, finished last in Mercedes-Benz Championship which led to the downfall in his rankings and lost four places to be at the 106th place.

Orlando-based Arjun Atwal, who occupies the 217th place, was the next Indian in the list. Atwal had finished tied 18th in the Albertsons Boise Open on the Nationwide Tour to boost his chances of securing a PGA Tour card next year.

An off-colour performance at the Mercedes-Benz Championship where he finished tied 73rd was enough for the Indian Masters' winner SSP Chowrasia who was at 269th place.
