JCT to play four NFL matches in Ludhiana

Chandigarh, Apr 6 (UNI) Jagjit Cotton Textile will play four home matches in the ONGC Cup 11th National Football League at the Guru Nanak Stadium in Ludhiana in April and May.

In the first match (12th in league) JCT are pitted against Air India Mumbai on April 17 and Sporting Clube de Goa on April 21.

According to Punjab Football Association secretary Inder Singh, JCT would cross swords with Mahindra United Mumbai on May 2 and HAL Bangalore on May 5.

JCT are lying at the fourth position after playing 11 matches with 15 points. They have won four, drew three and lost four.

They have 14 goals in favour and 10 against.

Mahindra United of Mumbai are leading the table with 23 points from 12 fixtures. They have registered six triumphs and drew five.

They have a solitary defeat so far. They have so far scored 16 goals and conceded nine, with a goal difference of plus 7.

Three points behind the leaders are Dempo Sports of Goal. Dempo have won six, drew two and lost three. They have so far netted 20 goals and conceded 11, with a goal difference of plus 9. Kolkata giants East Bengal are at the third place with 19 points. Out of 11 outings they have figured in so far, East Bengal have won five matches and drew four. They have suffered two defeats so far. They have 16 GF and 13 GA, with a goal difference of three.
