J & K Bank hold Army XI to goalless draw

Kochi, Mar 16 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Bank held Army IX to a goalless draw in the ONGC 2nd Division Football Championship here today.

Though the Armymen had clear advantage right from kick-off, they failed to utilise the changes that came their way.

The Armymen strikers were responsible for the draw as they wasted more than four open changes.

This was the second draw of the Armymen in the tournament.

Army XI scored six points from four matches with one win, two draws and a loss against Viva Kerala. The result of their summit clash with Indian Bank would decide their fate whether they could move to the final round or bow out from the tournament.

Viva, Kerala will meet Lajong Sports Club tomorrow.
