Iyer and Bhambri storms into finals

Noida, Aug 24 (UNI) Tara Iyer and Ankita Bhambri continue their brilliant run in the ITF Women Tennis tournament beating their respective opponents in straight sets to storm into the finals here today.

The third seeded Tara Iyer, completely outplayed her unseeded opponent Kyung-Yee Chae of Korea winning the game 6-1, 6-1 to move into the finals of the 10,000 dollar event.

Another Indian in the fray, fourth seeded Ankita Bhambri stormed into the finals beating Ukranian Anastasiya Vasylyeva 6-3, 6-3.

The 15-year-old Ukranian could do nothing as Bhambri blast her way to the finals, setting up a mouth watering clash with fellow Indian Tara Iyer.

Semi-final Result: 1. Tara Iyer (India) beat Kyung-Yee Chae (Korea) 6-1 6-1.

2. Ankita Bhambri (India) beat Anastasiya Vasylyeva (Ukraine) 6-3 6-3.

Final Lineup: Tara Iyer (India) Vs Ankita Bhambri (India).
