Inter power sector Carrom and Bridge tournament in HP from Feb 13

Shimla, Feb 12 (UNI) Over 100 players from eight public sector power units are taking part in the 13th inter power sector Carrom and Bridge tournament being held at Jhakhri tomorrow.

Organised under the aegis of Power Sports Control Board, the tournament has attracted players from National Hydro Electric Power Corporation (NHPC), Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL), Tehri Hydro Development Corporation (THDC), Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB), Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), besides Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVNL).

An official spokesman said six teams of Ministry of Power, NHPC, CEA, PGCIL, BBMB and SJVNL were participating in the four-day tournament.

Since 1993, the Board has been organising 17 sporting events every year, he added.
