Inter extend Serie A lead with 2-0 win over Parma

ROME, Apr 1 (Reuters) Inter Milan cruised to a 2-0 win over relegation-threatened Parma today to extend their lead at the top of Serie A to 20 points.

Second-half goals by defender Maxwell and striker Hernan Crespo gave Inter 79 points from 29 matches. AS Roma are second on 59 points after a 1-1 draw with AC Milan yesterday.

Third-placed Lazio (49 points) will attempt to notch up their seventh successive win when they take on Udinese in a later match today.

Palermo's grip on fourth place slipped a little more after they were held to a 0-0 draw by Torino. The Sicilian side, who have earned only 10 points in their last 11 matches, have 48 points, three more than Empoli, who beat Ascoli 4-1 to climb above Milan into fifth.
