Indo-Pak Peace Cup snooker tournament to begin from December 1

New Delhi, Sept 26 (UNI) The third Indo-Pak Peace Cup snooker tournament will be held in the capital from December 1 to 6 at DDA Sports Complex at Siri Fort with 6000 dollars prize money at stake.

Top five cueists from India and Pakistan will compete for the Peace Cup which was postponed twice due to varied reasons.

The Organising Secretary Amarjit Singh said the tournament will be conducted by the Delhi Billiards and Snooker Association (DBSA) under the aegis of Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI).

The Peace Cup was launched at the initiative of former Asian champions, Yasin Merchant and Alok Kumar. The Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Federation gave its approval for the unique event, which debuted in Chandigarh. Then India won it in a keenly fought tussle on the green baize.
