Indo-Pak Dosti Wrestling on Jan 14

Hyderabad, Jan 12 (UNI) For the first time, an 'Indo-Pak Wrestling Dosti Cup Championship', organised by the Barkas Sports Federation, would be held here on January 14.

A federation release said a nine-member Pakistan team would be led by coach Sohail Rashid and include noted wrestlers Muhammad Hamid Ali Khan (Faqr-e-Pakistan), Muhammed Basheer Bhola (Rustom-e-Pakistan), Azher Hussain, Muhammad Ayub, Salman Masih, Muzafar Iqbal, Imran Ali and Muhammad Asif Sadiq.

The Indian wrestlers would include the internationally popular Sanjit Kumar Vijay Pal Yadav, Vinod Yadav, Bijender Singh, Jai Prakash Singh, Khalid Bamas (Bharat Kumar and Andhra Kesari 2004), Abhimanyu Yadv (Andhra Kesari 2006 finalist) and Abdalla Qulage (Super Heavy Weight Finalist Andhra Kesari).

According to Barkas Sports Federation General Secretary Abdalla Bin Ali Bahmed, the championship was being conducted to mark the 50th Anniversary of the formation of Andhra Pradesh.
