Indians sizzle at Asian Archery Grand Prix

Manila, Oct 27 (UNI) The Indian archery team were off to a great start at the third Asian Archery Grand Prix, winning two golds and two bronze at the end of the double 70 meters round on the opening day.

Rajib Basumatary clinched gold in the Men's recurve while Rahul Bannerjee grabbed the bronze medal.

In the Women's recurve, the experienced Dola Bannerjee won gold with Rimil Biruly finishing third.

In the Team rankings, the Indian men are at the top spot in the recurve section and are ranked fifth in the compound section.

In the women's rankings India is on the top of the heap in recurve and is third in the compound section.

Over 150 archers from 16 teams are participating in the Championship- North Korea, China, Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, India, Iran, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bhutan, Myanmar, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and host Phillipines.
