Indian XI registers 2nd win
Lucknow, Apr 7 (UNI) Indian XI registered their second consecutive win in the second All India R D Bhardwaj memorial under 25 cricket championship here today.
They beat Haryana Academy by 110 runs. In contrast, the Millenium Sports Club, Delhi conceded their second defeat at the hands of the UP Timber, Lucknow by a margin of 152 runs.
In the first match at the K D Singh Babu stadium, Agha Shahid scored unbeaten 100 and later took two wickets. In reply, Delhi team were bundled out for 97 runs.
At the Chowk stadium, Indian XI, Lucknow registered their second win by beating Haryana Academy by 110 runs.
Batting first, the local team scored 209. The high light of the innings was fine half century by Shakeel Ahmed and equally well compiled 49 by opener Mohd Shahnawaz. Kamal Kumar (3/33) and Rajeev Pachouri(2/22) were the main wicket takers for Haryana.
Chasing a victory target of 210, Haryana were bowled out for 99.
Barring Gaurav (15) and Rajeev (24), none of the other batsmen reached the double figure mark.
Shakeel and Haseeb claimed 3 wicket each for Indian XI.
