India, South Africa reach Kanpur

Kanpur, Apr 8 (UNI) Team India and South Africa cricket teams arrived here today under tight security for the third and final test match to be played at Green Park stadium from April 11.

Both the teams will attend the net practice session from tomorrow. While, the visting team will have net practice in first session, the host will follow later on, an Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) spokesman said.

The senior district and police officials had already inspected the ground and preparation work. Pitch control committee member Daljeet Singh also visited the stadium along with curator Shiv Kumar to inspect pitch and ground preparation work.

Tight security arrangements had been made around the stadium and hotel Landmark, where both the teams would stay.

The entry tickets are being sold at eight branches of the State Bank of India (SBI).
