India's Olympics Medal Tally: Indian Medallists, Best Editions & Sport-Wise Medals Won After Paris 2024
Aman Sehrawat delivered the final medal as India signed off from Paris Olympics 2024 on Saturday (August 10) with a total of 6 medals, taking their overall Olympic medal tally to 41 - 10 Gold, 10 Silver and 20 Bronze.
Javelin Thrower Neeraj Chopra, a gold medallist in Tokyo 2020, won the only silver for India in Paris Olympic Games, becoming the first from the nation to win back-to-back gold and silver medals in individual events.

Meanwhile, in another firsts, shooter Manu Bhaker became the first-ever Indian post independence to win two medals at the same Olympic event, winning a bronze each in the individual women's 10m air pistol and 10m air pistol mixed team event alongside Sarabjot Singh.
Shooting also added another medal in the form of Swapnil Kusal, who also made history as the first-ever Indian to finish on the podium in the men's 50m rifle 3 positions event after he won bronze to take shooting's overall tally to 7, going level with wrestling.
The Indian men's hockey team won their second successive bronze at the Olympics, taking the country overall medal count in the sport to 13. Aman the lone wrestling medalist, who took India's Paris 2024 medal tally to 6 and the country's medal total to 7 in the sport.
Despite the best efforts, India still could not achieve their target of a double digit finish at Paris 2024. They could not even match their best ever haul of 7 medals, which was achieved three years ago in Tokyo 2020.
However, India achieved their second best haul at the Summer Olympic Games. In the past four editions, India has seen a slight improvement, but hasn't been able to get into double digits. India opened it's account in Paris 1900 and has won the most medals in hockey, while recent years have seen the country achieve more success in the Summer Olympics with Neeraj Chopra winning the first-ever track and field gold and joining PV Sindhu in winning back to back medals for the nation.

As for most medals in a sport, India has won 13 medals in hockey, including the latest bronze in Paris 2024. Shooting takes the second spot with respect to golds, but are behind wrestling in terms of total medals won at the Games.
