India has fair chance of winning the World Cup: Waquar
Mumbai, Mar 8 (UNI) Former Pakistan skipper Waquar Yunis today said he felt teams from the sub-continent, especially team India, has a fair chance of winning the World Cup.
Yunis, who was here for a Twenty20 match, said the India team has experienced spinners although the pacers do not have as much experience.
Talking about Irfan Pathan, he said many people have advised him and it is upto him to show his skills.
When asked about the absence of Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Asif, the former skipper, without directly commenting on their exclusion, said Pakistan still had a good middle order led by skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq and could bounce back.
He said New Zealand's Shane Bond and England's Andrew Flintoff were among the bowlers, who could make an impact in the World Cup.
