India 'A' to tour Kenya
New Delhi, June 19 (UNI) India 'A' team will tour Kenya late next month or early August to play two four-day matches and take part in a proposed one-day series which is likely to involve at least one other country's A team, Cricket Kenya (CK) said.
The deal was brokered by Samir Inamdar, CK's chairman, while he was in India during the Afro-Asia Cup, according to cricinfo website.
Indian board officials had told him that they were keen to rope in another country's 'A' team for a series to ensure there was a high level of competition.
Sri Lanka have expressed an interest in visiting Kenya in August on their way home from England.
Pakistan have declined, explaining that their players have too many commitments and South Africa 'A' are scheduled to tour Zimbabwe which rules both of those sides out.
India are reportedly keen to have Zimbabwe in the series.
