Inaugural All India U-19 Rugby tournament on June 16-17

Mumbai, Jun 9 (UNI) With a vision to groom young talent that would represent India at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, Bombay Gymkhana will play host to the inaugural U-19 All India Club 7-a-side Rugby tournament to be played on June 16-17.

A 16 club-strong field will take part in the two-day tournament with representation from Chennai, Orissa, Jammu and Kashmir, Pune, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai, a release issued here today stated.

With the Commonwealth Games in mind this will be an ideal setting to identify talent that could represent the country at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, the release added.
