I'll put fire back in the English attack: Donald

London, May 18 (UNI) South African pace legend Allan Donald has revealed that he would relish the chance to coach English bowlers if given a chance.

Donald, who would be out of contract with Cricket South Africa at the end of this month, expressed his desire to coach English fast bowlers after the ECB showed interest in recruiting him as a specialist consultant.

''I would be interested in the job. If the opportunity came up right now I would have to speak to Peter Moores. I know Peter very well and I would definitely like to hear what he has to say,'' Donald was quoted by the 'Daily Mail' as saying.

However, he was quick to point out that if he is offered the role then his primary job would be to instigate the lost motivation and inspiration back into the English bowlers.

''You can't teach these guys very much in terms of technique at Test level. What they need to do is regain that intensity they had against Australia in 2005 because they have lacked sharpness since then.

''Motivation and inspiration is so important at Test level and that is where I could possibly come in,'' he said.
