IAF motorycle rally on Feb 25

Kolkata, Feb 22 (UNI) The Indian Air Force will conduct a motorcycle rally from Kolkata to Shillong and back from February 25 to celebrate its 75th year of existence.

Wing Commander R K Das, a veteran Motorcyclist in IAF, would lead the rally, which would pass across Khardungla pass (highest motorable pass).

He had participated in expeditions to Siachen Base camp, Daulat Beg Oidi in Kargil, Taglangla and Changla pass.

The team includes Wg Cdr B R Deesa, Cap S Rokade, WO K Iylango, JWO D S Sahni, Sgt R Rana, Cpl R S Roy and LAC R I Teotia, an IAF release stated.

The rally would be flagged off by Air Chief, Air Marshal P H Major from Fort Willam and after passing through Air Force stations Bagdogra, Hasimara, Guwahati before reaching the HQ Eastern Air Command, Shillong.
