Hunt for new Indian coach to resume within fortnight

Mumbai, June 19 (UNI) India's search for a new coach is expected to resume in a fortnight, according to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Niranjan Shah.

''We will again start looking for a coach in 10 to 15 days,'' Shah said here, on the eve of the team's departure for the twin tour of Ireland and England.

''We have a few meetings with the ICC (International Cricket Council), so we will be traveling a few days to London. Once we come back we will start the process,'' he added.

Asked whether the BCCI would now advertise for a new coach, Shah replied, ''No, we won't. There's no need to, we will do it in our own way.'' The BCCI, last month, suffered much embarrassment when former South Africa coach Graham Ford declined its offer after being interviewed for the job by a special panel. It was forced to appoint only a manager for the upcoming tours in 72-year-old former India captain and selection committee chairman Chandu Borde.
