Hooda pats boxer Akhil on reaching quarter finals in Beijing

Chandigarh, Aug 15 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today complimented Akhil Kumar of Bhiwani for reaching the quarter final of the 54 kg boxing event in Beijing Olympics.

Akhil defeated world champion Sergey Vodopyanov of Russia to reach the quarter final.

In his message, the Chief Minster said Akhil Kumar had brightened the hope of India for another medal in the Olympics. He hoped that the boxer, hailing from Haryana, would win a gold medal and bring laurels to the state and the country.
