Himachal CC meet Chandigarh Lawyers in Twenty20 tomorrow

Chandigarh, May 2 (UNI) The crucial match to decide the fourth semi-final spot will be played in pool A tomorrow between the Himachal Cricket Club and Chandigarh Lawyers Sports Association in the first All India Invitation Prize Money Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at Sector 16 Cricket Stadium here tomorrow.

The winners will join powerful Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Professional Cricket Club and All India Electricity Sports Control Board in the last four stage.

The winners of the match between Himachal Cricket Club and Chandigarh Lawyers Sports Association will cross swords with Pool B winners and title aspirants Professional Cricket Club on May 6.

Professional CC have logged 10 points from two victories and a tied match against Moody ICL yesterday.

All India Electricity Sports Control Board finished runners-up in Pool B with two victories and one defeat. They are now pitted against strong contenders and star-packed Oil and Natural Gas Corporation who topped Pool A with an all-win record in the four-team league programme, in the second semi-finals.

Meanwhile, Punjab Governor and Administrator Union Territory Chandigarh, General (Retd) S F Rodrigues has consented to be the chief guest and distribute prizes at the closing ceremony at the Sector 16 Cricket Stadium here on May 7.

The winners will return home with a cheque of Rs one lakh and a glittering running trophy to adorn their showcase. The runners-up will receive a pay cheque of Rs 50,000 and a running trophy.

Besides, 19 individual Man of the Match awards are also being presented.
