Hamilton, Button can see off Red Bull challenge at Brit Grand Prix

London, July 1 (ANI): McLaren boss Martin Whitmarsh reckons Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button can win their home race a week on Sunday and see off a Red Bull challenge.

According to The Mirror, Whitmarsh believes both can go on to take the drivers' and constructors' world championships.

"It is an important race for us. At a circuit like that we have to be competitive with Red Bull if we are going to be able to year beat them this year. If we can be competitive there, we have a good chance to win both championships," Whitmarsh said.

Whitmarsh has been boosted by McLaren finishing second and third at the last round in Spain where they were expected to take a beating from rivals who had the latest improvements.

Meanwhile, according to The Mirror, McLaren are to unveil their latest improvements at Silverstone, which they hope will put an end to the Red Bulls' advantage for good. (ANI)
