Hamilton backs Hill's move to slap Schumacher with a race wrecking penalty
London, May 29 (ANI): Former Formula One champion and ace McLaren racer Lewis Hamilton has backed fellow racer Damon Hill's move to slap a race-wrecking penalty on German legend Michael Schumacher.
Hamilton reckons that Schumachar tried to pull a faster one on stewards than he had on Fernando Alonso around the final bend of the Monte Carlo Grand Prix.
"If I had been allowed to overtake in Monaco after the safety car came I would have done the same thing to the guy in front.
Fernando would have tried the same thing on me. But everyone, apart from Michael I guess, was instructed we weren't allowed to do that. If I'd done the same thing I would have expected a penalty," the Daily Express quoted Hamilton, as saying. (ANI)
