Haldia International Sports City soon to come up

Haldia, Oct 12 (UNI) The proposed Haldia International Sports City will come up here within the next five years.

Inaugurating the model of the proposed Sports City here today, which will be the first of its kind in India, MP Laxman Seth said the Rs 450 crore project will soon become a prestigious possession of the city within five years.

Sprawling over an area of 65 acres, this project will be set up by the Haldia Municipality and Shristi Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited, a public-private partnership.

The project will assure international lifestyle to its visitors with premium bedroom apartments with all modern amenities, along with a shopping mall, club, gymnasium, a swimming pool and an international standard stadium with a capacity of 35,000 seats at Barghasipur on the entry point at Haldia city.
