HAL to take on Churchill Brothers tomorrow
Bangalore, Feb 21 (UNI) The mighty Churchill Brothers will clash with local league champion Hindustan Aeronautics Sports Club (HASC) in the ONGC National Football League match here tomorrow.
HAL, which tasted victory against Sports Clube De Goa in its last encounter played in the home pitch, was all set to further cement its position.
HAL Coach Krishnaji, however, did not want to commit about the team going all out for a win in the morrow's match. ''They are a tough team and our aim is to collect as many points as possible in the first let and decide about going all out for increasing the points in the second.'' Stating that there was no injury fear, he said striker Mohan Raj, who was off the field due to two yellow cards, would play tomorrow.
Churchill Coach Karim Bencharifa of Morocco was confident of his team putting up a good show.
The visiting team would be missing the services of George Yekdu, who got a red card in the last match against Air India. Striker Odema Okali was yet to recover fully and hence would be sitting out.
To a question, Bencharifa said that ''irrespective of the result, the team has been playing well. The players are tired as they are playing only away matches and that too against tough teams.''
