Guwahati to watch Twenty 20 final on big screens

Guwahati, Sep 24 (UNI) Cricket fever has gripped Guwahati as big screens have been erected and cinema halls have tuned into the cricket 'live' mode in the city to watch twenty20 final.

With the players providing the ingredients for a great match with a India-Pakistan final showdown, the fans of this latest version of cricket here have arranged for community viewing of the match.

Big screens have been erected at the commercial hub of the city Fancy Bazar. The shopkeepers for once are not displeased due to the slump in sales that the match could bring.

A trader in Fancy Bazar, Manish Jain said ''Business can happen every day. Its not everyday that India takes on Pakistan and that too in a world cup final.A popular cinema hall Anuradha cinema is also rescheduling its regular screenings and will show the final match, which is expected to draw huge crowds.

The clubs and other such societies have also arranged for viewing of the match in a common venue. Big feasts have been planned if India brings home the inaugural trophy. And its unbeaten record against Pakistan in the world cup cricket of any version has added to the fans' enthusiasum.

College student Gaurav said ''India has never lost to Pakistan at the world cup stage. And after the last tie breaker match, India will surely win again.'' UNI
