Green Park ready for India-England face-off on Nov 20

Kanpur, Nov 17 (UNI) Stage is all set for the third ODI between England and India to be played at Green Park stadium here on November 20.

The rival teams are expected to reach Kanpur by tomorrow afternoon and would start their practise from Wednesday.

District Magistrate Anil Kumar Sagar along with other officials today inspected the Green Park stadium, where the police department also carried out a security rehearsal.

According to stadium curator Shiv Kumar, the pitch would help the team which will choose to bat first. The pitch will be handed over to match referee a day before the commencement of the match, he informed.

Uttar Prasesh cricket association sources said the teams would arrive at Amausi airport in Lucknow and from there they would follow the road route and reach Hotel Landmark here. During this journey, the teams would be escorted by police.

England had lost both one dayers played at Green Park stadium in 1989 and 2002.
