Govt encouraging sports in big way: Minister

Hyderabad, Jan 22 (UNI)Andhra Pradesh Ministter for Information Technology and Communication and Sports R Damodar Reddy today said the state government has been encouraging sports in a big way by creating necessary infrastructure .

Inaugurating the 'Nawab Khursheed Ali Foundation' in memory of the Former Table Tennis National Coach, he said the state govenrment had already created world class infrastructure and established 30 academies and three sports schools to identify talents.

He called upon sportspersons and volunteers to contribute their mite to promote sports and help talented youngsters.

Foundation Chairman K Subhash Reddy said the main idea was to promote Table Tennis and other sports in the state and help talented sportspersons.
