GOC 101 Area fecilitates Assam Regiment Wushu Players

Shillong, Jan 15 (UNI) Major General Vinod Nayanar, Commanding Officer 101 Area, today felicitated the Wushu players of the Assom Regiment who participated in the 15th National Wushu Championship held at Jaipur recently.

Maj Gen Nayanar complimented the players for their outstanding performance. He also congratulated the Army team captain, Major M Amit Kumar for winning the bronze medal, W Inunganba Singh and W Bijen Singh for winning the gold medal for the team.

The Wushu players of Assam regiment won two gold, eight silver and six bronze medals and the team stood 3rd in overall position after CRPF and Manipur.
