Goa to host Sub Junior Aquatic National Championship from June 21

Panaji, Jun 11 (UNI) Goa will host a four-day Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championship of both swimming and diving for boys and girls, which will commence from June 21 to 24 at two different venues..

Goa Swimming Association (GSA) secretary Sudesh Nagvekar told UNI today that about 32 state teams from all over India, including top contenders from Karnataka and Maharashtra, are expected to vie for top honours in swimming and diving events.

Mr Nagvkar said the swimming championship will be held at Sports Authority swimming pool in South Goa, while diving championship will be held at Campal swimming pool, Panaji in North Goa.

The championship last year was held at Bangalore in Karnataka, Mr Nagvekar added.
