Glamour girl 'dumps' Jermain Defoe

London, May 1 (ANI): Glamour girl Roxy Townsend has given England footie ace Jermain Defoe the boot after she suspected him of playing away, it has emerged.

Townsend, 22, dumped Defoe, 27, after a showdown when she accused him of seeing other girls.

The split news less than two weeks after the striker was snapped allegedly getting steamy with a mystery woman in his car, reports The Sun.

Roxy broke the split news to friends on Facebook by changing her status from 'In a relationship' to 'Single'.

A close pal said: "Roxy has come to the end of her tether with Jermain.

"He is very hard to keep on a leash and she has had enough of it.

"She loved the time she spent with him and was really looking forward to going to the World Cup with him but things in their relationship became untenable.

"Jermain wanted to stay with her but too much has happened in the past months for that to happen.

"She wanted Jermain to be with her and no one else. She is gutted but is better off without him." (ANI)
