Gill congratulates Indian team for Junior Asia Cup win

New Delhi, Jul 19 (UNI) Sports Minister M S Gill today praised the Indian team for successfully defending the Junior Asia Cup Hockey championship title.

After staging a dramatic fightback, India retained the title by defeating South Korea 3-2 in Hyderabad yesterday, riding on drag-flicker Diwakar Ram's brilliance to score the match-winner in the extra time.

''Shabaas India, Chakde Raheyo Phatey (Bravo, Keep on the good work!),'' Gill said in his congratulatory message.

He said he was eagerly waiting to meet the team and congratulate each member individually for their ''brilliant performance''.
