'Gentleman' Tyson pays UK strip club a visit

London, May 30 : Hours after telling his fans that he had overcome his addiction, former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson was seen visiting a British strip club.

The 41-year-old star was surrounded by dancers as soon as he entered the Blue Velvet club in Newcastle upon Tyne.

"Mike was here for about three hours and he was a perfect gentleman," Daily Star quoted Club boss Emma Dominy as saying.

"When he arrived, people were a bit wary and scared of him because he is such a big and intimidating guy. He had quite a big entourage with him, so there was a bit of a commotion when he turned up. But they were all really well behaved. He was very polite to everyone and came across as a very nice man. He signed a few autographs for fans and then went into the VIP area," Emma added.

He even went to the VIP room with a dancer, and finally emerged in the wee hours.

"He was only with one black girl all night in the private area. I don't know how many dances he had, though," Emma said.

"He didn't drink any alcohol and all the staff that came into contact with him said he was polite and friendly," added the club boss.
