Gemini Racing announces team for JK Tyre National Racing

Chennai, May 30 (UNI) The fledgling Gemini Racing today announced its Team-2007, comprising seven drivers to compete in the JK Tyre National Racing Championship to be held in Coimbatore and Chennai.

The six round event, would begin next month and conclude in October. The first two rounds would be held at Coimbatore and the remaining in the modern race track at Irungattukottai, about 40 km from Chennai.

The team, competing in its first full-fledged season in the circuit, also unveiled its three new cars, Formula swift, Formula Hyundai and Formula Rolon Chevrolet.

Team's youngest driver Akkineni Anand Prasad told reporters here today that besides himself, the team consists of Ameya Walavalkar and Amrut Kadam (both Mumbai), Aditya Patel (Chennai), Fazal Khan (bangalore), Mazdayar K Vatcha (Hyderabad) and Avdumber Hede (goa).

Two of the drivers, Amrut and Mazdayar Vatcha would be on scholarship. Besides, the team also has reserve drivers Raphael Allan Luther (New delhi) and Rounak Patil (Kolhpaur).
