Gascoigne slept with hookers, claims ex-wife

London, Oct 11 (ANI): Football legend Paul Gascoigne a.k.a Gazza has slept with prostitutes, according to his former wife.

In her autobiography, Sheryl Gascoigne recalls on one such occasion last February: "Paul called crying because he'd been with a prostitute and he thought she was Press."

"He was saying, I didn't do anything. I didn't do anything. He told me he had another one in Newcastle and just asked her to watch a movie with him and have a cuddle.

"I don't think that is an uncommon request but then again with Paul's sex drive it seems unlikely," The Mirror quoted Sheryl, as saying.

Sheryl also describes the ex-England stars descent into alcoholism in her book.

"Sometimes when he rang it was tragic, sometimes it was funny and sometimes it was impossible to understand what he was saying.

"I was clear, though, that he had serious mental health issues that needed to be tackled," she added. (ANI)
