Fowler arrives in Australia for talks with Sydney FC
SYDNEY, July 12 (Reuters) Former England international Robbie Fowler arrived in Australia today to discuss a possible move to Sydney FC.
Fowler, 32, is reportedly being courted by several clubs in Britain after being released by Liverpool but he is also considering a move to Australia.
According to Australian media reports, he will spend the weekend in Sydney meeting with the club and inspecting their facilities before making a decision.
Sydney FC won the inaugural Australian A-League in 2005-06 after snaring the signature of former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke as their ''marquee''.
Yorke moved back to England with Sunderland last year and Sydney have not yet replaced him.
